Privacy Policy
How Camino Health collects, uses, and protects the information you share with us.
Quick summary. We collect the information you give us when you request a quote — name, contact details, and basic household/health-coverage information — so a licensed insurance agent can help you shop for health plans. We share it only with insurance carriers and service providers needed to deliver that service. We do not sell your information.
1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy applies to Camino Health, a trade name (DBA) of Auxa Holdings LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("Camino Health," "we," "us," or "our"). We operate this website (the "Site") and provide insurance brokerage services for individual and family health insurance products.
Camino Health is a licensed health insurance producer. Our National Producer Number (NPN) is 20635965. We are resident-licensed in Florida and non-resident-licensed in the following states:
We can only sell or advise on insurance products in states where we are actively licensed.
2. Information We Collect
Information you give us directly
When you request a quote, contact us, or otherwise interact with the Site, we may collect:
- Identifiers: full name, date of birth, mailing or residential address, email address, and phone number.
- Household and eligibility information: household size, dependents to be covered, estimated annual income (for ACA subsidy eligibility), and tobacco-use status.
- Health-coverage information: current coverage status, type of plan you're looking for, preferred carriers, doctors or prescriptions, and similar details you choose to share so we can match you to appropriate plans.
- Communications: messages, voicemails, call recordings (where lawful and disclosed), and any other content you send us.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, referring URL, and timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies: we use cookies, pixels, and similar tools to operate the Site, remember your preferences, measure traffic, and improve marketing. See Section 8 below.
Information from third parties
- Insurance carriers and quoting platforms that return plan and pricing data based on the information you provide.
- Advertising and analytics partners that help us understand how our marketing performs.
- Public records and licensing databases (such as the NIPR Producer Database).
Sensitive information. Some details — such as health-coverage information, prescription needs, or specific medical questions — may be considered sensitive under federal or state law. We only collect what we need to help you shop for coverage, and we treat it with appropriate care. We are not a HIPAA "covered entity" simply by acting as an insurance broker, but we apply strong safeguards regardless.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide quotes and recommendations and help you compare and enroll in health insurance plans;
- Communicate with you about your inquiry, application, or active coverage — including by phone, text/SMS, and email (see Section 4);
- Submit applications and information to insurance carriers on your behalf, with your authorization;
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and our services;
- Send marketing communications about insurance products and related services, subject to your consent and applicable law;
- Measure the performance of our advertising and content;
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
- Comply with legal, regulatory, and licensing obligations, including state insurance department rules.
4. Marketing Calls, Texts, and Emails (TCPA Consent)
When you submit a quote request or contact form, you authorize Camino Health and our licensed agents to contact you at the phone number(s) and email address(es) you provide — including by means of automated technology, prerecorded or artificial voice messages, and SMS/text messages — for the purpose of providing insurance quotes and information about health coverage. Standard message and data rates may apply. Consent to be contacted is not a condition of purchase.
You can opt out of marketing communications at any time:
- Text/SMS: reply STOP to any text message. Reply HELP for assistance.
- Email: click the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any marketing email.
- Phone: ask the agent to place your number on our internal Do Not Call list, or email us at the address in Section 14.
Opt-out requests may take a reasonable time to process. We may still contact you for non-marketing service messages related to an active policy or pending application.
5. How We Share Your Information
We share information in the following limited circumstances:
- Insurance carriers and quoting platforms — to obtain quotes, submit applications, and service policies you request.
- Service providers — vendors that host our Site, manage CRM and quoting tools, send email/SMS on our behalf, process payments, provide analytics, or supply security and fraud-prevention services. These providers are contractually limited to using your information for the services they provide to us.
- Affiliates and successors — including in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.
- Legal and regulatory — to comply with law, respond to lawful requests by public authorities (including state insurance regulators), enforce our agreements, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Camino Health, our customers, or others.
- With your consent — for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time we collect the information.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Some of our online advertising and analytics activities may, under certain state privacy laws, be classified as "sharing" or "targeted advertising." See Section 9 for how to opt out.
6. GLBA Notice (Financial Privacy)
The federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act ("GLBA") requires insurance producers to explain how they handle nonpublic personal information. We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the sources described in Section 2. We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers except as permitted by law — for example, to insurance carriers to process applications and policies, to service providers acting on our behalf, or as otherwise required or permitted by federal or state law. We restrict access to your nonpublic personal information to employees and agents who need it to provide you with our services, and we maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect it.
7. How We Protect Your Information
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. These include encryption in transit, access controls, and vendor due diligence. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, tags, software development kits (SDKs), and similar technologies to:
- Keep the Site working properly and remember your preferences;
- Measure traffic and understand how visitors use the Site;
- Deliver and measure advertising on third-party platforms (such as Google, Meta, and similar networks).
You can control cookies through your browser settings and through device-level controls. Blocking some cookies may affect Site functionality. Many advertising partners participate in industry opt-out programs at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under state privacy laws to:
- Know or access the personal information we hold about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate information;
- Request deletion of your information;
- Opt out of "sale," "sharing," or targeted advertising;
- Limit the use of certain sensitive information;
- Appeal a decision we make about your request.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 14. We will verify your identity before responding. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Some information may be exempt from these rights under federal or state insurance laws, the GLBA, or HIPAA where it applies.
10. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal and regulatory recordkeeping obligations (including state insurance department requirements), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Records related to insurance transactions are typically retained for several years after the end of the relationship as required by applicable law.
12. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including carrier sites, enrollment portals, and government resources such as HealthCare.gov. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please review their own privacy policies before submitting information.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (such as a banner on the Site or an email). Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
